Jo Cox's hometown will celebrate the life of their MP at a memorial service this afternoon.

The Batley and Spen MP, who would have celebrated her 42nd birthday today, was shot and killed in Birstall last week.

Tributes have flooded in from around the world following the tragic event, and this afternoon the people of Batley will pay their respects.

Our reporter Nick Lavigueur is in Batley Market Place for the memorial - follow our blog for the latest tributes, pictures and videos.
