TWO Shelley students got themselves into a slimy situation for charity today.

Rebecca Smith and Holly Nixon, both 16, sat in a bath of beans at Shelley High School for three hours to raise cash for Children In Need.

The girls, from Highburton, had raised £600 in sponsorship and were expecting more from the collection buckets in school.

Their funds will be joined by cash raised from a non-uniform day at the school.

Across the country, millions of people are taking part in the huge fundraising event, which culminates in a massive BBC broadcast throughout the evening.
