CROSLAND Moor boy Ben Schofield has been beavering away to win a top award.
Seven-year-old Ben has received the Chief Scout Bronze Award, the highest badge available to a Beaver Scout.
Cubs can achieve silver awards and Scouts gold awards.
Ben has been going to the 17th Huddersfield Beavers at Linthwaite since January.
He is not due to move up to Cubs until next April. Proud mum Tracey said: "He has achieved this award quite early.
"He is such a confident boy and he's really chuffed with his award."
To receive the Bronze award a Beaver has to complete a challenge which stretches over six weeks.
Ben took part in Huddersfield Public Library's Reading Rollercoaster challenge, which involved reading one book a week during the six-week summer holidays.
