ALTERATIONS to plans for a major housing development at New Mill could need new planning permission.
Councillors are to decide on whether to allow the alterations to Wildspur Mills by developers A Patrick Developments Ltd, of Leeds Road in Huddersfield.
The plan, to convert mill buildings on the Sheffield Road site to 27 flats, and to build 11 town houses, three detached houses and a new block of 16 flats, received full permission last November.
But now the builders want to put two extra apartments into the existing mill conversion.
They also want to modify the design, layout and external look of the new 16-apartment block.
Planning officer Nick Willock said: "We asked for another application, because we considered the changes to be more than minor."
Work began on the mill site in February and is continuing on the parts of the site not affected by the new application.
A council planning committee is expected to decide on the new application on July 29.
