NOMINATIONS for Yorkshire's most loyal tourist are wanted for a new award.

The BBC has launched an award for the Yorkshire Top Tourist in the region's annual tourism prizegiving ceremony.

The prize will be awarded to the tourist who always holidays in Yorkshire - be they a Yorkshireman or woman or from further afield.

The winner will be guest of honour at the award ceremony at The National Railway Museum, York.

BBC Look North presenters Christa Ackroyd and Harry Gration will present the awards on October 7.

People are invited to nominate themselves or others. Nominations should be submitted with contact details by June 30, including details of where the nominee lives and holidays, how long they have been holidaying in Yorkshire and what type of holiday they choose.
