This week we're featuring the work of Michael Podger in our Big Picture series.
Michael, 44, from Golcar, said: "I'm married with three children and I have lived in the Colne Valley all my life.
"I use a simple digital camera or my phone for all my photos and take most of them whilst out mountain biking, which I started doing last summer to stay fit after going to the doctors with high blood pressure and chest pains.
"I wouldn’t say I’m an obsessive photographer, I just love our beautiful countryside which many people take for granted, and I feel compelled to capture it. I also photograph the sky most mornings and night — which I guess some would say does make me an obsessive photographer!
"I love Instagram and that is where I post my pictures (podger7470), it's great for viewing amazing places that you could never hope of visiting and I hopefully show people around the world the beauty of Huddersfield."
