Mike said: "I have been interested in photography for around ten years. A few years ago I was encouraged to enter a competition where the organisers were looking for a shot that epitomises Yorkshire.

"I won that competition with a shot of Runswick Bay. The prize was £1000, a full back page feature in the Yorkshire Post and to this day that image still features on packets and tubs of Yorkshire crisps.

"Since then I have won other competitions including the 2013 Yorkshire Show photography competition and had my work featured in National Photographic Magazines.

"I set up my own website and market my work as "photographic art for the home". To date the website has received just short of a million hits.

"I exhibit my work at craft fairs all over the North of England and regularly attend Upmarket Sundays in the Beast Market. A number of the attached shots use a technique called High Dynamic Range photography which combines three bracketed exposures and produces images that could be mistaken for art work, and that's what a number of my customers like."
