RIDERS returning to cycling after a time away can now find a cycling `buddy' - thanks to Kirklees Council.
Officials have offered to find other people who like to cycle at an easy pace, have a chat and maybe stop for a cup of tea.
Kirklees spokes- woman Lynnette Evans said: "There are people who have started to cycle again because of the creation of new routes, like the Spen Valley Greenway. They maybe want to cycle in company, cycle that bit further, explore new places and meet people.
"For the most part, existing cycling clubs are geared up for the enthusiast. Not everyone wants to cycle lots of miles at a fast pace.
"If the steadier trip sounds like you, do something about it. Think about joining a cycling `buddies' group."
