A PROCESSION of powerful illuminated Honda Goldwing motorbikes is set to wow the crowds in a spectacular light parade to celebrate Blackpool's 125-year history of light and electricity.

The stunning cavalcade will travel through the Blackpool Illuminations along the resort's famous Golden Mile on Saturday.

And riders from this area are being given the chance to take part.

Event organiser Bob Summers said: "We are delighted to be marking Blackpool's 125 electric light years and are looking forward to amazing the crowds with our magnificent illuminated machines."

Goldwing owners from as far afield as the Isle of Man and Lincolnshire have already booked their places.

The parade is planned to leave Gynn Square, in the north of the town, at about 8.30pm. It will head towards the Golden Mile and Pleasure Beach.

Goldwing owners who would like to take part should contact Mr Summers on 07801 137698.
