A biker was killed in a crash near Bretton.

Now police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal road collision last night.

The incident happened on the A637 Huddersfield Road, between Bretton and the Haigh motorway roundabout, around 7.40pm.

The 37-year-old man was travelling south towards Bretton Mill Farm along with a second motorcyclist, when he was in collision with a trailer being pulled by a tractor that had exited from a nearby field.

The motorcyclist subsequently died at the scene

Sgt Ann Drury, from West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen this collision, or the motorcycles prior to the collision, to contact Det Con Noel Lowdon on 101.”
