GOLCAR woman Julie Grendon enjoyed a glitzy Oscars-style night out, after winning a competition run by the Examiner and Mecca Bingo.
Julie, 37, entered the competition in January to win a glamorous Hollywood-style VIP night out at Mecca Bingo at Folly Hall, Huddersfield.
To celebrate the Oscar's weekend, the competition question asked entrants to name the date of this year's Oscars - which was of course February 27.
Julie and her three friends celebrated two days early when they were whisked to Mecca Bingo on Friday in a stretch limousine.
They then enjoyed champagne and food - served by staff dressed as Hollywood stars.
The night would not have been complete without a few games of free bingo.
The prize was worth a total of £500 and Julie had a chance to enter a prize draw to win a trip to the USA.
Julie, a mobile warden in Huddersfield and Wakefield, said: "I was already a Mecca member when I entered as I go every week to bingo.
"The night was absolutely brilliant."
