A TRIAL date has been fixed for a Birkby man accused of stabbing a nightclub bouncer.

Roy Scott, 30, is alleged to have knifed the doorman at Legends on Viaduct Street in the early hours of March 28.

Scott, of Tanfield Road, Birkby, appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He did not enter nor indicate a plea in the case.

Instead the case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing on June 15 with a trial date fixed for the week commencing July 12.

Scott was remanded in custody pending the next hearing.
