FORMER Huddersfield woman Betty Lightowler will be lunching with the Queen at Winchester today.

Betty, who is 80 on Friday, was born in the same hour as the Queen and was named after her - Elizabeth Alexandra Mary.

She was brought up in Moldgreen and married her husband Eddie Strand at Moldgreen Parish Church.

The couple moved away after they were married because Eddie worked for ITV.

They now live in Southampton and have two sons and five grandchildren.

Mrs Lightowler's sister Olive Shaw, of Fleminghouse Lane, Almondbury said: "My mother Edith named her after the Queen. Betty is really looking forward to meeting her namesake at Winchester."
