A HUDDERSFIELD mum raised £335 for charity at her surprise 70th birthday party.
Doreen Brown, of Crosland Hill, raised the cash for Huddersfield Royal Infirmary’s Oncology Unit at the event at Broad Oak Bowling Club, Linthwaite.
The party, organised by daughter Angela Fynn, 48, was attended by 220 guests.
Mrs Brown has previously raised cash for the unit on several occasions, including the celebrations of her golden wedding with husband Arthur in 2005.
She said: “Thank you to everyone who came and donated.
“I was thrilled to get so much.”
