THE BADLY decomposed body of a man was found in his Huddersfield home after his psychiatrist reported him missing, an inquest heard.
The discovery of Mark O’Hara’s body on April 27 was made when police were alerted to a smell coming from his flat in Church Street, Paddock.
The Huddersfield inquest heard that Mr O’Hara suffered from schizophrenia and was being cared for by psychiatrists at St Luke’s hospital.
He was reported to be doing well on medication, but had been last seen on December 14 last year.
Coroner Roger Whittaker said that a post-mortem on Mr O’Hara,45, failed to establish a conclusive cause of death. No evidence of excess drink or drug use was found.
Mr Whittaker recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
