TICKETS for performances of The Mighty Boosh in Huddersfield sold out in record time.
Fans of the cult BBC TV comedy jammed the phone lines of the Lawrence Batley Theatre to book their seats for one of the most hotly anticipated shows the venue has ever hosted.
After news of the September 29 and 30 performances was reported in the Examiner last month the 874 tickets were snapped up within days.
An LBT spokeswoman said: “Before we could even say ‘now on sale’ word got around about The Mighty Boosh coming.
“Needless to say both dates sold out in record time and we are looking forward to a packed auditorium at the start of the autumn-winter season.”
The surreal stage show – starring Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt as Vince Noir and Howard Moon – is about two friends who go on a series of magical adventures.
It contains humour and pop culture references and first appeared as a series of stage shows, then a BBC radio series before moving to BBC3.
