TWO bouncing baby girls ushered in the New Year at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary yesterday.

First to arrive was Zoe Abigail Brooks, weighing in at 7lb 1oz at 9.14am.

The happy parents are Clare, an asbestos consultant, and Robin, an electronic engineer, of Pontey Mount, Waterloo. Zoe is their second child – they already have a son, Zach.

Proud father Robin said: “We are very happy to have a new addition to our family for the New Year.”

Maternity staff were kept busy as just one minute after the arrival of Zoe, little Noelle Kate Barbara Crosfield was born at 9.15am.

Noelle, who weighed 8lb 12oz is the daughter of 19-year-old Olivia Fillan, and Craig Crosfield, 35, of Netheroyd Hill Road, Fixby.

Olivia, daughter of well-known Huddersfield jeweller Richard Fillan, said: “Noelle is beautiful, special and a blessing.”
