A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a knife-point robbery at a Honley betting shop.

Police were called to an attack at Jack Pearson’s bookmakers in Church Street at 5.22pm on Tuesday.

No-one was believed hurt but police mounted an investigation and appealed for witnesses.

The boy was being questioned by police today and remains in custody.

Two suspects entered the shop and one threatened the assistant with a knife and demanded cash. The member of staff handed over the cash and the pair fled.
