A GROUP of collecting enthusiasts heard a talk about Action Man.
The ever-popular boys toy started life more than 40 years in America as GI Joe - and the original later sold for $1m.
The talk to Denby Dale And District Collectors' Society was given by Mr Rob Smythe, of Leeds.
GI Joe was devised in 1962 by American Stanley Watson and its popularity grew so rapidly it was manufactured all over the world.
Early models these days change hands for between £250 and £4,000.
