A MAN was arrested after ignoring a court order to stay away from his parents.

Michael Lankovits, of Elder Road in Bradley, was in custody when he appeared before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.

He is due in court on May 31 to face a charge of criminal damage.

His bail conditions are not to contact his parents or go within 100 yards of an address at Longley.

But he breached these when police found him at the family home.

Alex Bozman, prosecuting, said that Lankovits’ mother had called officers.

She had activated her personal attack alarm and told police that she wanted him to leave.

The 40-year-old was found upstairs and arrested for breaching his bail conditions.

Jonathan Slawinski, defending, said that the CPS may offer his client a conditional caution.

But the solicitor said that Lankovits was still waiting to hear from police.

He said: “He went round to see his parents because of the delay and that put him in breach.”

Magistrates agreed to re-admit him to bail on the same conditions as before.
