Bride-to-be Caitlin Walsh is excitedly planning her dream wedding in the sun.

But the preparations for her marriage to Steven Batley on the sunkissed island of Rhodes have hit a snag: she’s lost her engagement ring.

Caitlin had taken the ring to a Huddersfield jeweller to have it cleaned ready for the big day.

But she lost it between there and her Birchencliffe home and is understandably distraught.

What’s made it worse is that she and Steven fly out on Wednesday to Rhodes, with friends and family, to prepare for the wedding in the picture postcard town of Lindos on August 20.

Now she has appealed: “Please help me find the ring”.

Caitlin and Steven, both 25, got engaged on Christmas Day 2013 and have spent months planning this summer’s wedding.

Caitlin said: “Everything was going great. I had taken my engagement ring to Cartwrights’ jewellers in Market Walk for it to be cleaned and one of the stones re-set so it looked perfect on our wedding day.

“When I went to pick up up on Saturday, the jeweller asked me if I wanted to wear it but I decided to take it away in an envelope to keep it clean.

“I put the envelope in my bag but it must have dropped out somewhere between the shop and Shore Head, where my mum picked me up in the car.

“I have looked everywhere and am so upset”.

Caitlin’s ring is made of white gold and has a large blue Tanzanite gem in the centre, with diamonds at the side.

She walked from Market Walk, down King Street and through the Kingsgate car park into Shore Head.
