VICTIMISATION took centre stage at a Huddersfield school.

A new drama production staged at Royds Hall High School, Paddock, showed how bullying can spill outside the school gates.

Pupils were encouraged to think about the impact it can have on the victims and people around them.

The play, It Won't Happen To Me! was written by Victim Support, a national charity for people affected by crime, and CragRats, a Holmfirth-based training and learning organisation.

The performance opened a day of drama-based workshops designed to involve young people.

Pictured during the performance are CragRats actors (from left) Tich, Ben and Llinos.

Chris Simes, CragRats education brand manager, said: "The play promotes the messages in a fun, informative and dynamic way, punctuated by strong scenes that highlight the impact of victimisation."
