AN 83-year-old man killed in a bus tragedy in Huddersfield town centre has been named.
Mr Sava Nikolic suffered severe head injuries when he was in an accident with the single-decker bus on Westgate at 1.15pm on Monday.
He was crossing the road at the traffic lights next to the Crown pub when the accident happened.
He was going to an afternoon dance at St Patrick's Centre on New North Parade.
Mr Nikolic, who lived at Ash Lea Drive in Brighouse, was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and died at 7.30am on Tuesday.
He was born in the former Yugoslavia and came to Britain shortly after the Second World War.
An inquest will be opened into his death shortly.
