TWO air cadets from Huddersfield had a soaraway summer during a week-long camp.

Kasey Leigh Singh, 14, from Lindley, visited RAF Coltishall, Norfolk, while Sarah-Jane Smith, 15, of Almondbury, travelled to RAF High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.

Kasey, a student at Salendine Nook High School, was voted the best newcomer on her camp having only joined the squadron two months before.

Sarah was chosen as most improved cadet and was also a member of the best flight on camp.

Both are members of 59 Squadron.

Flight Lieutenant Emma Leech, officer commanding 59 Squadron said: "It's good to see that Kasey's and Sarah's hard work has been recognised."
