SEA cadets from Huddersfield are off to London to celebrate a momentous date in British history.
The youngsters will join 500 cadets from all over the country for the annual Trafalgar Day parade in Trafalgar Square this Sunday.
The day is an annual event to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson in the engagement on October 21, 1805.
Platoons of sea cadets and marine cadets - led by the national Sea Cadet Corps band - will march from The Mall to Trafalgar Square and hundreds of spectators will line the route.
Huddersfield Sea Cadets commanding officer Philip Jones said: "This is the most important event in the sea cadet calendar and will be an experience our cadets will never forget."
The cadets will be inspected at the event by the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff Adml Sir Jonathon Band.
