There's been a happy ending for bride to be Caitlin Walsh.

The Birchencliffe woman who is to marry later this month was distraught when she lost her engagement ring in Huddersfield.

But now she's happy to report it has been found.

The engagement ring lost by Caitlin Walsh

A Meltham man rang to say he had picked up an envelope in the town centre and had taken it home for safe-keeping.

Caitlin collected the ring last tonight.

““It’s brilliant news: I never thought would get it back.

“After the Examiner story, a man rang me and said he thought he had the ring.

“He was outside the Kingsgate Centre collecting for Army Veterans when he saw the envelope on the floor. I had put the ring in there to keep it clean having just picked it up from the jewellers. I went to meet him last night to thank him”.

The preparations for her marriage to Steven Batley on the sunkissed island of Rhodes had been dealt a blow when she lost the ring on Saturday.

She and Steven flew out today to prepare for the wedding in the picture postcard town of Lindos on August 20.

The couple, who are both 25, got engaged on Christmas Day 2013.
