A CALDERDALE man has died after being crushed by a lorry.

A CALDERDALE man has died after being crushed by a lorry.

The 35-year-old man was killed after a curtain-sided lorry overturned during strong wind.

The horrific accident happened at 2pm on Thursday at the junction of Water Lane and Neville Street in Leeds city centre. A woman in her 20s remains in hospital with serious injuries after the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to ring West Yorkshire Police Major Collision Enquiry Team on 01924 293047.
