BRAVE cancer battlers were all smiles as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk.
Almost 50 women of all ages who have been hit by breast cancer put on a special fashion show in Huddersfield.
And the stunning show at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, was perfect for highlighting the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It was the third fashion show organised by the award-winning breast care team working for the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
The amateur models from across both areas are all survivors of the disease, with many of them still having treatment.
They were joined on the catwalk by male models from the Louise Morton Agency, which coordinated the show.
Hundreds of family members and friends packed into the hotel to watch the show, which featured designs supplied by local shops.
The models’ hair and make-up was done by hairdressers and beauticians from Huddersfield and Halifax.
The youngest patient in the show was 22 while the oldest was 82.
A trust spokesman said: “The event is such a success that other hospitals are now staging their own fashion shows.
“Previous models have taken part in fashion shows in London.”
