BOSSES at Cannon Hall Farm plan to put on a spirited show for judges in a national competition.

The farm at Cawthorne has been shortlisted in the Farm Attraction of the Year Awards run by the National Farm Attractions Network.

Judging takes place on October 31 – Hallowe’en – which is also the farm’s second-busiest time of year after Easter.

Attractions during half-term will include pumpkin carving, sheep and ferret racing and twilight owl flying.

The farm will be open until 9pm between October 26 and 31. Evening entertainment will include ghoulish ghost walks and spooky stories.
