YORKSHIRE Water workers raised a total £1,700 for WaterAid with an on-line Christmas card scheme.
The water company encouraged staff to send the WaterAid Christmas cards to one another, collecting donations for the charity at the same time.
WaterAid is the UK's only major charity dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.
Yorkshire Water environmental planning manager and WaterAid fundraiser Stephanie Walden said: "WaterAid is a charity very close to our hearts at Yorkshire Water and we're very proud to have raised this amount over the Christmas period."
