HUNDREDS of students learned about a huge range of jobs at Huddersfield University's eighth careers fair.
A total of 34 employers and professional bodies had stands at the fair, held in Canalside West building.
As well as finding out about the different professions, students were also able to get advice on writing CVs and application forms, networking and interview techniques.
Employers represented included Kirklees Council, Matalan Retail Ltd, the National Trust, the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, West Yorkshire Police and Asda.
Sue Taylor, of the university's careers advisory service, said the students found the careers fair a worthwhile exercise.
"Some already know what job they want to do but just want a little more advice. Others have no real idea and are looking for some help on career choice," she said.
Sarah Hargreaves, human resources assistant at Next, said that the company came to Huddersfield University because in the past they had received a significant number of high quality applications from this area.
