A RETIRED nurse paid £1.99 for a video in a charity shop - and found £310 in the case.
But rather than keep the money, Molly Thomas, 82, returned the cash to Oxfam in Bridg- end, south Wales.
She bought the video, about shire horses, thinking it would be educational.
She was settling down to watch it with her usual glass of whisky when she opened the case to find wads of £10 and £20 notes stuffed inside.
"It all fell on the floor," she said. "I counted it and there was £310."
Mrs Thomas said she had been brought up to be honest.
She added: "I have worked all my life and bought my council flat."
An Oxfam spokes- woman said: "This £310 will go a long way to help us in our work of overcoming poverty and suffering.
"In East Africa, for example, where there is a food crisis affecting 11m people, £300 will feed 240 children for a month.
"We're very grateful to Mrs Thomas for giving us the money. It will certainly be put to good use."
