IT attracts thousands of visitors each year.

And Castle Hill’s historic Victoria Tower, near Almondbury, is now open each day for visitors.

They will be able to enjoy the spectacular views from the top of Victoria Tower which is open every day between noon and 4.30pm until Sunday April 15.

Admission charges are £1.50 for adults, 50p for children and £3 for a family ticket. There is free admission for Kirklees Passport holders.

Streetscene’s Castle Hill Ranger Julian Brown said: “Once again we would like to welcome people and to enjoy the views this year from the top of Victoria Tower.

“Since last April we have had close to 12,500 visitors to the Tower and taking part in our events.

“We are anticipating a busy summer with events and walks planned for the whole season – the Tower team are ready to welcome all.”

After the Easter openings, the Tower will be open each Saturday and Sunday from April 21 until May 27 including May Day Bank holiday weekend May 5-7 until November 4.

The Tower will also be open every day in the Spring Bank holidays from June 2 to 10 and in the summer holidays from July 21 to September 2.

The Tower will also be open for the October half term holidays every day from October 27 to November 4.
