A CAT'S three-day ordeal stuck up a conifer tree has ended.
Residents of Bourn View Road, Netherton, called the RSPCA but the RSPCA officer was unable to coax the black cat called Jessie down and rang Huddersfield firefighters at 1pm yesterday.
Sub-officer Alan Woodock said the cat was well hidden in the branches and about 15ft from the ground.
Firefighter Nigel Jackson climbed up and encouraged the cat out.
"It jumped down the branches and then fell," said Sub-Officer Woodcock. "But, true to form, it landed on its feet!"
