CCTV cameras could hold the clue to a terrifying sex attack in Huddersfield.
Detectives are trawling through footage from cameras in Huddersfield town centre to help track down the attacker of a teenage girl.
The 17-year-old victim was attacked at the junction of Westgate and Chancery Lane late on Tuesday.
The scene was sealed off by police for more than 12 hours.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Detectives are continuing to investigate an allegation of sexual assault in Westgate, Huddersfield earlier this week.
“It was reported at 11.15pm on Tuesday and the victim, a 17-year-old girl, continues to be supported by specially-trained officers.
“Officers are currently viewing CCTV from the area and speaking to potential witnesses as well as the teenager herself.”
