Detectives investigating a serious assault outside a bar in Huddersfield town centre have released CCTV images of two men they are trying to identify.

They want to find the men as part of their continued enquiries.

The assault happened at around 2.40am on Sunday, May 8, near Five Bar on Cross Church Street.

The 25-year-old victim was involved in an altercation with two men who had just left the bar. The victim lost consciousness and sustained a fractured cheekbone and eye socket as a result of the assault.

Det Con Kris Roberts, of Kirklees District CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was out in Huddersfield that night who witnessed this offence or saw the two men pictured in these CCTV images.

“We would like to speak to these men as part of our ongoing enquiries and would ask anyone with information about their identities, or indeed the man themselves, to come forward.”
