CELEBRITIES have responded to the call to help paralysed former rugby player Danny Scott, of Lindley.
A watch donated by model Nell McAndrew is among items which will go under the hammer at a pub's auction.
Former Town stars Jon Stead and Simon Charlton are expected at the sale at the New Inn, Sowood, on Sunday May 9.
Moldgreen amateur rugby league player Danny was injured in a tackle during a match in January.
Lee Matthews, a partner in the pub, said: "He's only 22. It's really tragic what's happened to him."
Bosses at Huddersfield Town have given a signed ball to be auctioned.
Jon Stead, now a star striker with Blackburn Rovers, has signed a shirt from his new club.
And motor racing manager Eddie Jordan sent an autographed part from a Formula One Jordan car. There's also a pair of drumsticks signed by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and a CD.
Mr Matthews said he was really grateful for all the support.
"People have been very generous," he said.
A sports quiz will be held at 9pm before the auction.
Places are still available at £20 for teams of four, including supper. Call the pub on 01422 310937.
