A HUDDERSFIELD health care firm has honoured a local pharmacist who died this year.
They have named their new call centre at Bradley in honour of Sheridan Teal.
In a special ceremony led by her husband, Andrew, Local Care Direct named the centre in honour of the former pharmaceutical advisor for both Kirklees and Calderdale primary care trusts.
Mother-of-two Mrs Teal worked closely with LCD as part of her role.
She was very highly regarded for her support and expertise in helping the organisation to ensure that the pharmacy element of its services to the community were responsive and appropriate.
LCD operations director Fran Robinson said: "Sheridan's commitment to her role, and to supporting agencies such as Local Care Direct, meant she was much admired and respected. This is a fitting tribute."
Mrs Teal was the longest serving pharmaceutical expert in Kirklees and Calderdale.
Ms Robinson added: "Many of the improvements in pharmacy services which continue to benefit patients in the area today are a result of her foresight and determination."
