AWARDS will be presented to 120 young people in Huddersfield on Tuesday.

Youngsters aged from 12 to 25 will be receive awards from Kirklees mayor Clr Mary Harkin at Huddersfield Town Hall.

The presentations have been organised by Kirklees Young People's Service.

The awards being presented will be the Mayors Award, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Millennium Volunteers' Awards.

The Mayor's Award helps young people to gain confidence and self-esteem. It is for young people who have worked to improve community facilities.

Youngsters aged 12 to 19 have been involved in raising funds for skate parks, cracking crime and developing a web portal.
