WORLD boxing champion Johnny Nelson is to support a special music night in Huddersfield tomorrow.

He will also be judging a free-style MC competition during the evening, which aims to get the anti-drug message across to young people.

R&B, hip hop and ragga will hit the turntables at the event for under-18s.

Sheffield-based Nelson is the WBO cruiserweight champion.

The evening has been organised by the Drug Sense organisation and will be in the Elements bar, facing Chapel Hill.

Drug Sense worker Dan Dearnley said: "The aim is to raise awareness of our organisation in a relaxed, informal setting."

Drug Sense is part of Lifeline Kirklees and is paid for through the Kirklees Drug Action Team.

Prizes for the MC competition include studio recording production time and clothes shop vouchers.

Tickets are £3.
