CYCLISTS are being encouraged to try a series of rides run by Huddersfield CTC cycling group in conjunction with Kirklees Council's culture and leisure services. Clr Ann Denham, who has highways responsibility on Kirklees Council's Cabinet, said: "It is a good opportunity to develop your cycling skills and enjoy the countryside." Two forthcoming rides start from Trycycling in Kirkburton on August 6 and Carlisle Street in Meltham on September 3. Both start at 10am.
