PEOPLE can step out with the Kirklees Countryside Volunteers in January.
They have organised six walks, ranging from easy to hard.
The walks are as follows:
* January 9: Meet at 11am at Mirfield Parish Church, in Church Lane, for a six-mile, medium walk in the nearby countryside.
* January 9: Meet at 9.30am in Mirfield Library car park for a walk on the willow maze at Oakwell Hall. Not suitable for children, and no dogs allowed.
* January 15: Meet at Lockwood Station at 10am, for a medium to hard walk cross-country through Farnley Tyas, Thurstonland and Fulstone.
* January 23: Meet at the junction of Low Mill Lane and Huddersfield Road, in Ravensthorpe, at 11.15am for a five-mile easy walk along canal and river banks.
* January 30: Meet at Marsden Railway Station at 10am for a nine-mile hard walk beyond the northern edge of Kirklees, including climbs and rough terrain.
