THREE choirs will perform at a fundraising concert in Huddersfield for Age Concern.

Honley Male Voice Choir, Marsh Ladies' Choir and Wakefield Amateur Operatic Society Chorus have been lined up for the night.

Tickets are now on sale for the event on Saturday, October 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, Halifax Road, Birchencliffe, starting at 7.30pm.

Age Concern spokes- man Alan Rawnsley said the proceeds would be a welcome boost.

"One of our needs at the moment is to replace a minibus which, after modifications for wheelchair users, will cost £30,000," he said.

The concert is sponsored by Linthwaite pharmaceutical company Thornton and Ross and Parklane Publishing.

Norma Hallett, from the Huddersfield group of the National Association of Choirs, has recruited the musicians.

Tickets cost £6 and must be bought in advance as they will not be available on the night.
