REAL Radio’s mid-morning presenter swapped his set of decks for a set of trestle tables.

Daryl Denham sold his wares to Huddersfield people to boost the Leeds-based station’s Help For Heroes Day which happens all day tomorrow.

Going head to head with Drivetime presenter Pete Egerton who set up his stall in Barnsley to see who could raise the most money, Daryl located himself from early afternoon in the Piazza.

His table included books, to CDs, DVDs computers and even a wicker basket picnic set which was quickly snapped up.

Daryl said; “It was great being in Huddersfield. I had lots of people come by and bag a few bargains and also stopping just for a bit of a chat.

“We certainly appreciate everything that Help For Heroes are doing in their work with injured soldiers and hope people across the county will join in and support this great charity.”

Daryl and Pete’s totals will be revealed on air on Help For Heroes Day and then see if Huddersfield beats Barnsley!
