BEEFCAKES from Batley's Cash and Carry have stripped to the quick to raise money for charity.

Cheeky checkout operators from the Deighton wholesalers have bared all in the Huddersfield Hunks calendar.

The 12 models were all willing volunteers, said Mr September, Andy McLaughlin.

"Plenty of the lads wanted to get their face in print. It was a real laugh and lots of customers have been buying them," he added.

The saucy calendar, in which the lads pose with a range of goods and products from the warehouse, was the brainchild of Mr November, Patrick Hunter.

He saw a similar calendar in the check-out booth of operator Christine Brierley, who sadly died this year.

The calendar is dedicated to Christine, who died in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and Batley's receptionist Janet Cosgrove, who also died this year.

Money raised by the calendar will go to Infirmary's baby unit and Kirkwood Hospice, Dalton.

A thousand of the calendars have been printed, selling at £5 each.

They are available from the Batley's warehouse in Leeds Road.
