A HOUSE which was earmarked as a possible children’s home has been put up for sale.
The Noddle (right), a detached bungalow at Scapegoat Hill, is on the market for £650,000.
Three months ago, plans were submitted to turn the house into a children’s home but there was a problem with the application to Kirklees Council.
Local residents were also unhappy about the plan and called a public meeting to voice their concerns.
The first public information about how many children the home was intended for – two children with six staff – was published 18 days after the application was validated.
The plan was put forward by Meadows Care Ltd for The Noddle, off Halifax Road.
The house was currently classed as residential and Meadows Care Ltd needed consent for a change of use application.
The property has four bedrooms and an office complex.
