KIRKLEES Children’s Trust is carrying out its annual review of organisations working with children, young people and families.

They include Kirklees Council, the NHS, community organisations and the private sector.

As part of the review, representatives on the Children’s Trust Board have worked with the council and Third Sector Leaders Kirklees – which represents not-for- profit and charity organisations – to put together an online survey for voluntary groups.

The survey is intended to help the trust build up a more detailed picture of the wide range of resources that local groups offer.

The voluntary sector plays a major role in supporting local children and families.

Tom Taylor, who chairs the Third Sector Leaders group, said: “There are thousands of voluntary and community sector organisations locally providing services, supporting volunteers and making a difference.

“Third Sector Leaders Kirklees brings together decision- makers from these organisations.”
