A CHOIR more than a century old is looking for new recruits.
The Huddersfield Singers are holding an open rehearsal in a bid to find new blood.
Spokeswoman Wendy Brooke said: "Our standards are high because we work in detail on just three concerts a year.
"Because of the choir's size, each singer's voice plays a major part."
The rehearsal is at 7.30pm on Monday at Huddersfield Methodist Mission on Lord Street in the town centre.
There will be a vocal workshop with singing coach Patricia Hamilton at the same venue on Monday, October 11, also at 7.30pm.
The 30-voice chamber choir was formed in 1875 as the Huddersfield Glee and Madrigal Society.
Its repertoire includes both the new and traditional.
