NEW Mill Male Voice Choir is celebrating competition success.
The choir sang at the annual Don Valley Festival at the Elsecar Heritage Centre in South Yorkshire and beat off stiff competition by two choirs from Lancashire, Saddleworth and Rossendale.
It was pleasing for musical director Elizabeth Hambleton and accompanist Anne Levitt as the choir performed two contrasting pieces, Jamaica Farewell and The Lord’s Prayer.
