Hitting the high street on Boxing Day for some seasonal bargains?

The post-Christmas rush kicks off on December 26, with shoppers heading out to snap up festive bargains. Many stores slash prices, with discounts available on clothes, shoes, electrical items and more.

If you're hoping to find some sweet deals this Boxing Day, here's everything you need to know about the sales:

On the high street

River Island: The store's party sale is already underway — but the proper in-store sale begins on Boxing Day. Expect up to 50 per cent off.

Next: The daddy of all sales, with some shoppers queueing from 5am to get the best bargains. This year's sale begins online on Christmas Eve, then in store on Boxing Day from 6am. All items half price or less.

Wallis: The sale is underway, with discounts of up to 50 per cent or more. This relaxed fit red coat was £120, now £40.

Coast: The store went into sale last week with up to 50 per cent off rising to up to 70 per cent off in some cases. This gorgeous cocktail dress WAS £115 NOW £79.

House of Fraser: Pre-sales have begun, but the official Christmas sale starts at 8am on Boxing Day.

Reiss: A Boxing Day sale is planned, but you can already find discounts of up to 50 per cent off online at reiss.com/sale.

Evans: Sale starts online and in-store on Christmas Eve.

GAP: The store is currently offering up to 60 per cent off online and in-store on men’s, women’s and kid’s clothes.

Topshop: Topshop is not officially releasing a Christmas sale start date, but discounts of as much as 80 per cent are available online and in-store.

Whistles: The sale is already underway, with discounts of up to 50 per cent across mens and womenswear.

Marks and Spencer: The sales have already begun —with 50 per cent off bubbles to help make New Year (and other) celebrations even cheaper. But expect them to go big on clothes and more in store as part of the Boxing Day sale too.

John Lewis: “If our competitors are having a sale, so are we,” John Lewis said on Black Friday. So expect John Lewis’ Boxing Day sale to be just as big.

WHSmith: Expect up to 80% off books, audio and film at the Boxing Day sale. Visit the sale in store or online.

Debenhams: Word is Debenhams is having its biggest-ever half-price sale on clothing, shoes and homewares starting on Boxing Day.

IKEA: Sale started last week with discounts across a variety of homewares.

Argos: The retailer kicked off its “biggest ever toy and games sale” last week with up to half price off. Also offering up to 60 per cent off selected beauty sets online.

Dorothy Perkins: Started Friday with up to 50 per cent off in store and online. This Cutie multi-colour sweater, WAS £38 NOW £26.

Miss Selfridge: Accessories and shoes sale already underway with up to 70 per cent off.

Flannels: For designer bargains the sale started Friday in store and online on both mens and womenswear.

Office: Currently offering up to 50 per cent off selected styles as part of its festive treat. These Nike Air Max 1 white hyper blue wolf trainers WERE £54.99, NOW £34.

Ted Baker: Offering up to 50 per cent off selected lines in store and online.

BHS: Bargains of up to 50 per cent off already available in store and online.

Oasis: Huge sale already underway with discounts of up to 70 per cent.

Boden: Get up to 50 per cent off men’s, women’s and childrenswear.

Harvey Nichols: Sale kicks off 10am on Boxing Day with up to 50 per cent off top designer brands and they are expecting big turnouts at stores.

New Look: Sale in full swing already with huge discounts.

H&M: Up to 70 per cent discounts already available in store and online.

Supermarket sweep

Asda: Currently up to 50 per cent off clothing from George at direct.asda.com.

Tesco: Online and in-store up to 50 per cent off selected clothing from F&F.

Online offers

Very: The sale starts on Boxing Day with discounts of up to 60 per cent. 

Follie Follie: Sale starts Boxing Day on jewellery and accessories.

Littlewoods: Save up to 60 per cent on selected fashion and footwear from 10pm tomorrow.

Skeenas: If you are still looking for that perfect party dress then log on here. The sale starts Boxing Day with 30 per cent off.

Land's End: The sale has begun and the store is also doing free delivery on all orders over £50 placed on Boxing Day.

Wellicious: If you are thinking of getting in shape after Christmas then log on here. The fitnesswear site will be taking 20 per cent off from December 27 then 30 per cent off in January.
